The Quality Associate works within the Ferdinand Quality System using analysis and statistical techniques to assist in the continual improvement of the manufacturing processes. This individual will also assist in solving problems controlling variables and providing candid & accurate feedback that are critical to quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality Data Analytics (QlikView).
- Dealer and Builder Northstar Presentation Deck creation.
- Replacement and Kitchen Inspection process and communication (Sales Reps/Customer Service) as needed.
- Repair training and testing as needed for repair personnel.
- Participate in A-3 Problem Solving and Kaizen Events.
- Support/Attend Recycling Committee Meetings and Initiatives.
- Lead Project Validations.
- Product Testing and process quality evaluation and control.
- Perform Product Audits and Trial Validations as assigned.
- AOK PIT Meeting participation.
- Create log and route Deviations for approval continued monitoring on log through completion
- Participate in the Customer Concern Analysis.
- Provide accurate quality information feedback.
- Obtain corrective action by appropriate position; follow up and determine effectiveness of action plans.
- Support the Quality System by performing tasks to ensure the compliance and continuous improvement of the system.
- Periodically review specifications drawings work instructions etc. for currency and accuracy.
- Provide training/coaching on quality related subjects/ interpret specs and solve problems with Ferdinand Personnel as needed.
- Participate in Daily Management.
- Purchased material quality planning evaluation and control.
- Customer/Consumer home visits for repair (Back-up to Repair Specialist).
- Assure Calibration of measuring instruments.
- Document control of SOS and TPM material.
- Floor Color Standard Calibration.
- OOCA and OBKA participation.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Must have the ability to actively lead and participate in problem solving.
- Ability to maintain the professional competence knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to apply and interpret statistical data
- Computer skills (Word Excel and PowerPoint) required
- Experience in drafting reports and collecting data.
Education:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Two years experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Organizational Relationship:
- Reports to Sr. Supervisor- Customer Quality.
