Job Summary
Were looking for a friendly and energetic team member to join our Food & Beverage this role youll help create great dining experiences for our guests across breakfast lunch and dinner service.
What youll do:
- Greeting guests warmly and professionally as they arrive
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Delivering food and drinks to tables in a timely manner
- Clearing tables resetting and maintaining a clean dining area
- Handling guest queries requests and complaints with care
- Processing payments using POS systems and handling cash/card transactions
- Restocking supplies and ensuring stations are stocked and tidy
- Following hygiene safety and food handling procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues and working collaboratively as part of a team
- Setting up and packing down service areas as required
- Communicating any dietary needs or guest concerns to kitchen team
- Completing daily cleaning and closing checklists
Flexibility is crucial for this role as you will be rostered across a 7-day rotating schedule with shifts starting as early as 6:00am and finishing late at night. This is a part-time position paid at $25.42 per hour.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in food and beverage bar barista or hotel service roles is preferred but not essential
- A friendly and professional attitude with a passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences
- Comfortable operating coffee machines or working behind a bar (training will also be provided)
- A team player who can adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and lift/carry light trays or equipment
- Flexibility to work a rotating 7 day roster with shifts that may start as early as 6am or finish late at night
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices
- NZ citizenship permanent residency or a current and valid work visa/permit. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
