Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Modeling and Simulation Specialist with direct experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration & Modeling (AFSIM). This role supports high-impact national defense projects by building and executing complex simulation scenarios to assess next-gen military capabilities. This position requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and is located onsite in Reston VA.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and refine models and simulations using AFSIM to analyze engagement and mission-level scenarios.
Develop dynamic scripts to simulate interactions and behaviors of military systems.
Collaborate with subject matter experts such as pilots and technologists to gather modeling requirements.
Analyze outputs from simulation scenarios and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work with software development teams to enhance modeling tools and improve simulation accuracy.
Design and execute study plans for military technology assessment.

Minimum Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
BS in Engineering Mathematics Physics Computer Science or related technical field.
At least 5 years of analysis experience with a minimum of 2 years directly using AFSIM in a professional setting.
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python C).
Ability to apply the scientific method to diverse MS&A efforts.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in engineering science mathematics or a related technical discipline.
Experience with STK JMP Python R or C.
Familiarity with both U.S. and foreign military systems and operational concepts.
