Overview:
Our client a privately owned and long-established automotive group operating across the five boroughs of New York City is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations for two high-volume Asian import dealerships.
About the Role:
The Controller will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting while leading and developing an eight-person accounting team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on improving departmental processes reporting accuracy and cross-training for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations for two Asian import dealerships.
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and daily reporting.
Supervise train and develop an eight-member accounting staff.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and manufacturer reporting standards.
Collaborate closely with ownership and senior management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Automotive Controller or Office Manager in a franchised dealership.
Strong leadership organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds (experience with other DMS systems acceptable).
Ability to improve processes accuracy and reporting timeliness.
Compensation:
On-Target Earnings: $150000$175000 annually (based on experience and performance).
