POSITION SCOPE:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating prospect leads and soliciting prospects to schedule site visit appointments for the JAN-PRO Account Executive with a variety of prospect businesses including banks car dealerships churches department stores hotels medical facilities office buildings production facilities tech companies food industry non-profit organizations and schools among others. This positions primary responsibility is to meet/exceed individual/company account sales objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to share relevant insights for client site visits.
  • Provide regular updates to the Regional Sales Director on lead generation appointment scheduling and daily sales activities.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through diverse channels including Google Maps business directories commercial listings property management firms industry associations and paid databases.
  • Works in cooperation with the Regional Sales Director to help achieve individual objectives
  • Makes recommendations to the Regional Sales Director relating to effective sales methods and techniques
  • Build teamwork and success
  • Proactively establish best-in-class sales processes sales tracking etc.
  • Be an ambassador for JAN-PRO by representing the company professionally at all times when communicating with our customers prospects suppliers and Certified Business Owners
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EDUCATION:

  • Education: High School Diploma required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in sales telemarketing or administrative support within a sales environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook) and comfortable with online and digital tools.
  • CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and the ability to maintain accurate client and prospect records.

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

  • Air-conditioned/heated office environment
  • Exposure to artificial interior lighting
  • Low to medium level noise
  • Exposure to hazards as typically found in office products and equipment
  • Extended periods of sitting and computer-based work in an office setting
