In this position...
The purpose of the Vehicle Shipment Coordinator is to set up special shipments (air freight returns PP/TT units that are not in Ford Trading Company (FTC) systems) to our affiliates or direct dealers.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
- Handle special moves: Air freight show cars PP/TT units which include collecting quotes for the truck delivery to/from plant/port
- Assist in vehicle inspections required for TT/PP (pre-production build) markets as needed for special shipment handling
- Coordinate re-invoicing concerns with internal/external customers & systems for special shipments
- Special shipments via ocean have potential to use any of Fords contracted carriers. Responsibilities include payments to the carrier & all A/R billings to the proper party responsible for all costs incurred by FTC Logistics
- Coordinate business set ups for Mustang GTD Export Program including working with Program team markets SMEs etc. Handle preparation of manual Mustang GTD documents for select Caribbean & Central America Europe Middle East & Puerto Rico markets
- Review supplier invoices
- Prepare new market procedures as required for special shipments
- Participate in dealer meetings when required as a Traffic representative for special shipments
- Maintain a special shipment matrix with all shipments associated costs locations status etc.
- Assist in coordination with customs information when Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are being established as it affects special shipments
- Upload EUR1 holds to GLADS & remove holds once EUR1 approved
- Run weekly Business Objects (BO) reports for EUR1 markets to provide shipment information to Ford Customs representative (Livingston). When Livingston confirms which units have qualified send-out YES report to Fords freight forwarder & Traffic team
- Create & maintain desk procedures as needed
QualificationsYoull have...
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of Import/Export logistics manufacturing & customs experience
- 5 years Project Management experience
- 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel & PowerPoint)

- GOaLS CONCEPS WBDO VISTA & GOTD vehicle ordering systems
- FVA & FTC QAD Invoicing
- GEVIS NAVIS SAMIS & SOVID vehicle tracking
- WORKS Business Objects (BO) Reporting
- Knowledge of Ford Trading Company (FTC) & Order-to-Delivery (OTD) vehicle cycle
- Product Development (PD) launch experience
- Ford Logistical experience Preferably MP&L or Ford Division (Sales) experience
- Self-starter capable of communicating across global regions & at all levels to influence without direct reporting
- Ability to interface with global teams & different time zones
- Ability to work within a diverse (cultural functional & geographic) environment
- Flexibility in working hours given global nature of the role & time zone differences
- Strong interpersonal organization & analytical skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
- Excellent oral written & presentation skills
- Ability to resolve problems by providing creative solutions
- Customer & team focus with ability to build & maintain business relationships & work collaboratively to drive results with various functional activities inside & outside GTS including purchasing logistics markets suppliers etc.
- Sensitive to diverse global cultures & traditions
