David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company who is looking to recruit a Dressmaker to join their team in Bogota Colombia.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform garment alterations including hemming resizing and adjusting seams and lengths as required.
• Ensure all alterations and repairs meet quality durability and appearance standards.
• Operate sewing machines irons and other tailoring equipment safely and efficiently.
• Repair damaged garments by sewing tears replacing buttons zippers and other components as necessary.
• Monitor inventory of tailoring materials and notify management or relevant personnel when supplies are low.
• Report any issues with equipment or materials promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of assigned garments completed alterations and repair tasks.
• Keep the workspace clean organized and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in English (at least B2 level) with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Proven experience as a tailor seamstress dressmaker or in a related garment alteration or repair role.
• Strong proficiency in performing garment alterations repairs and adjustments.
• Skilled in the use of sewing machines irons needles threads and other tailoring tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise high-quality work.
• Good communication skills for understanding requirements and coordinating with clients or team members.
• Ability to work independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Solid knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate alteration or repair techniques.
• Basic problem-solving skills to identify and resolve garment or equipment issues effectively.
