Job Summary

Job Title: AS400 Admin

Location: Kenosha WI

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced AS/400 Administrator to manage maintain and support IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for system performance security backup strategies patching and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and stability of the platform
Monitor system performance conduct system tuning and ensure optimal uptime.
Manage user profiles security policies and access controls.
Perform backups disaster recovery planning and data replication.
Apply patches upgrades and firmware updates

Skills:

Install configure and maintain IBM iSeries / AS/400 hardware and OS (IBM i)
Troubleshoot system issues job queues spool files and performance bottlenecks.
Coordinate with development teams for deployment and support of RPG/COBOL-based applications.
Generate system reports and maintain documentation for configurations and procedures.
Manage high availability (HA) and clustering (MIMIX PowerHA etc. if applicable).
Support audit and compliance requirements.
