Power System Engineering Manager About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager Systems to join our dynamic this role you will lead the design and implementation of industrial control systems ensuring standardized efficient and commercially viable hardware and software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work across diverse industries including metals manufacturing mining material handling pulp and paper marine and oil & gas contributing to innovative projects that drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement drive control systems with strong knowledge of AC/DC Drive Control Architecture.
- Develop and program PLCs HMIs and other industrial control equipment.
- Create schematics and panel layouts for electrical and electronic control systems using AutoCAD Electrical and Mechanical; knowledge of EPLAN is a plus.
- Perform system simulation testing and comprehensive documentation.
- Estimate project RFQs and interface directly with sales teams and customers.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and best practices.
- Travel up to 10% for project and client requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering; PE license is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in design and implementation of industrial control systems using PLCs HMIs and Drives (VFDs/DC Drives).
- Minimum 7 years of experience programming PLCs HMIs and related industrial control systems.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with schematics and panel layouts.
- Knowledge of C# OPC SQL is a plus.
- Preferred experience with NEC/NFPA70/UL508 standards.
- Experience implementing systems with EtherNet/IP EtherNet TCP/IP DeviceNET ProfiNET Modbus TCP/IP.
- Hands-on experience with Rockwell GE Siemens and Schneider PLC platforms.
