POSITION	NUTANIX STORAGE SME/ VMWARE ENGINEER
LOCATION	Onsite 2X a week Nashville TN

REQUIRED SKILLS	Overall Job Summary This position is responsible for the development and delivery of Virtualization Infrastructure services and automation to support enterprise operations for mission-critical environments. Role includes responsibility in the design development and support of virtualization platforms and services to enable greater agility with fulfillment to accomplish company growth initiatives. Additional key responsibilities include mentor other team members in a DevOps operating model. Technologies in scope include Nutanix VMware and Azure virtualization platforms and technologies data protection solutions infrastructure automation tools Ansible Terraform CI/CD pipelines and shared-service applications. Knowledge of cloud technology platforms PaaS IaaS containers Kubernetes scripting languages such as Bash PowerShell Python and other Infrastructure automation languages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Lead the implementation of TSCs Virtualization Infrastructure strategy to support full CI/CD pipeline agility for service consumption. Identify and implement ongoing opportunities for system and process improvements. Assist in maintaining development standards complying with enterprise standards ensuring solutions are optimally designed secure well performing and integrated with other solutions. Deliver the objectives associated with problem management such as customer communication and root cause analysis reports. Foster key vendor relationships and contract performance. Document internal SOPs processes and training to ensure team members are successful in DevOps environment. Lead the team with internal infrastructure projects which may require cross departmental coordination to achieve goals. Required Qualifications Experience: 6 years related work experience with Nutanix/VMware or other virtualization platforms 3 years related work experience in DevOps utilizing SDLC agile methodology Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems or a related field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. Professional Certifications: Preferred Nutanix VMware Microsoft Azure Certifications High Demand IT Specialized skills: DevOps in Public and Private Cloud Environments Platform knowledge: Nutanix and VMware Virtualization Platforms and Services Scripting Languages (Python Bash PowerShell PowerCLI JSON KSH YAML) Orchestration tools (GitHub Actions Terraform Ansible) Infrastructure Configuration/Automation development (Ansible Salt Stack Puppet) Cloud services (Azure Google Cloud IBM Bluemix) Container and Platform services (Kubernetes OpenShift Docker CI/CD Pipeline) Repository tools (GitHub BitBucket) Microsoft and Linux based Operating Systems Preferred knowledge skills or abilities Ability to use a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services. Development and execution of DevOps engineering practices. Strong knowledge of storage server and networking technologies and environments. Ability to comprehend business requirements to ensure technical directions are supportive. Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. Analytical and Problem-solving skills. Knowledge of business process re-engineering from lean principles to agile processes. Knowledge of open telemetry observability frameworks pipelines and publish/subscribe models. Strong understanding of ITIL core principles for incident request change and problem management.
