Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH CISM CISA) are a plus.
- 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field with a strong understanding of security technologies and best practices.
- Experience with cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure) and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCI-DSS) and NIST cybersecurity framework.
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g. SIEM IDS/IPS) firewalls VPNs and vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of operating systems network protocols and scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security risks.
Key Responsibilities:- Threat Detection and Response: Monitor network traffic and system activities to identify and respond to potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement security architecture and solutions including firewalls intrusion detection systems and encryption technologies in alignment with NIST standards.
- Incident Management: Lead and manage the response to security incidents including investigation containment eradication and recovery following NIST guidelines.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks adhering to NIST vulnerability management practices.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies procedures and best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle and IT operations.
- Training and Awareness: Provide cybersecurity training and guidance to employees to promote security awareness and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security systems incidents and procedures.
