Job Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Athlete Injury Management & Training will co-develop and lead a world-class athlete-centered injury prevention and management program for the Enhanced Games. The role blends hands-on athlete care strategic program design and close collaboration with medical sports science and coaching teams. The goal is to protect athletes long-term health optimize performance and ensure continuity of care.

This is not a traditional role in sports medicine and performance scienceits an opportunity to join the Enhanced Games a global sporting event redefining the boundaries of human performance. Youll work at the forefront of athlete care within an organization pioneering scientific research and innovation in medically approved performance-enhancing substances and advanced athlete profiling methods.

The program is still in its infancy which means you wont be inheriting an old playbookyoull be creating one. You will have the rare opportunity to design and lead a novel injury management and prevention framework from the ground up shaping how world-class athletes are profiled prepared and protected for years to come.

This role is highly dynamic and travel-intensive. Youll spend much of your time on the ground with athletes sometimes for several days sometimes for weeks or months across our main hubs in Las Vegas Dallas Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Youll need to be comfortable relocating frequently adapting to new environments on short notice and embedding yourself within different training ecosystems. As such candidates may maintain a home base of their choosing (New York preferred) but must be prepared for 90 percent global travel. This is not a desk-based role its for someone who thrives in movement embraces change and finds energy in being close to the athletes they serve.

Youll work directly with Dan Turner Director of Athlete Safety & Performance and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of doctors scientists and coaches to co-develop the operational model that keeps athletes prepared protected and performing at their best. Together youll build a system that integrates cutting-edge sports science with real-world athlete monitoring leveraging the latest in performance diagnostics medical oversight and injury risk reduction.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership
Build and implement a comprehensive injury prevention and management framework tailored by sport and individualized for each athlete.
Establish and maintain a continuous source of truth for athlete physical status ensuring no loss of historical data.
Work closely with the Director to co-design operational plans ensuring alignment across medical science and performance teams.

Athlete Care & Evaluation
Conduct regular in-person movement structural and functional assessments.
Provide targeted treatment and bodywork when needed.
Provide personalized individual and group training sessions when needed.
Travel frequently to meet athletessometimes for several days weeks or months at a timeand adapt dynamically to athlete schedules and needs.
Serve as a key liaison between athletes coaches and medical specialists to ensure seamless care training and fitness progression and communication.

Collaboration & Network Development
Coordinate closely with surgeons physical therapists strength & conditioning specialists and sports scientists.
Monitor training load and progress ensuring all physical preparation aligns with injury prevention goals.
Build and manage a network of trusted facilities and specialists worldwide.
Support the Director in identifying and recommending qualified specialists for regional or outsourced care.

Data & Performance Monitoring
Profile athletes and track physical data in collaboration with internal databases and performance tracking systems.
Ensure consistent monitoring to anticipate and address potential injury risks early.
Support development of educational materials reporting dashboards and athlete progress reports.

ABOUT YOU

Must hold a doctoral or professional qualification in Physical Therapy Athletic Training Physiotherapy Chiropractic or comparable qualification.
Proven experience in strength & conditioning or applied sports performance at an elite athlete level.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwideoften for extended periodswith flexibility to relocate on short notice.
Demonstrated expertise in injury prevention athlete profiling and rehabilitation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in high-performance sport and medical environments.
Comfortable in fast-paced high-pressure environments taking initiative and ownership of outcomes.
Data-oriented and confident using athlete or health monitoring software (e.g. EMRs performance dashboards).
Ideally you have experience gathering personal health and performance data leading or assisting training sessions and providing 1-on-1 physical therapy.
Be adept at identifying talented practitioners for collaboration or referral.
Care deeply about athlete well-being health and performance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States of America without sponsorship.

Candidates may maintain a personal home base anywhere in the U.S. but New York City is preferred.
