Key Accountability (Procurement Functions)
- Ensures the appropriate preparation and dispersal of medications in accordance with facility state and national laws and regulations
- Manage Pyxis inventory including accurate selection and loading of medications organize according to safety initiatives evaluate medication use trends to maintain appropriate par levels ensure removal of expired/damaged products in a timely manner and resolve discrepancies
- Ensures proper medication storage for medications including those that require refrigerator and freezer storage
- Records refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily
- Prepares a patient cart fill for each designated day

- Maintains professional growth and development
- Ensures the appropriate preparation and dispersal of medications in accordance with facility state and national laws and regulations
- Complies with appropriate procedures in the pharmacy in accordance with facility state and national laws and regulations
- Assures compliance with HIPAA OSHA and other state and federal regulations guiding healthcare
- Adheres to policies and procedures of Clarke County Hospital
- Prioritizes the importance of preventing errors accidents and infections within the workplace and reports potential or actual concerns immediately
- Completes all competency and skills assessment requirements
Key Accountability (Billing/Charging/340B)
- Accurately reviews organizes and codes patient and hospital records for data entry and patient billing
- Optimizes medication availability through the careful coordination of medication supply with medication needs by analyzing upcoming patient needs managing inventory and awareness of timelines to obtain medication
- Maintains a relationship with key suppliers to assure timely medication delivery
- Analyzes surgery records and compares them to Pyxis records to charge medications appropriately
- Looks at patient payment data to assess 340B eligibility for medications obtained for patients prospective to their visit
- Looks at orphan drug data to assess 340B eligibility for medications obtained for patients prospective to their visit
- Coordinates information with the billing office to answer questions about patient charges
Shifts: 24 hours per week - 3 8 hour shifts - Monday Tuesday and flexible on other day.
