Job Summary:
IMA Clinical Research is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to join our team in Chicago IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy and patient recruitment with a passion for contributing to cutting-edge clinical trials that advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes. The salary range for this position is $23 - $25 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support study coordinators with administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth study execution.
- Recruit screen and schedule potential study participants through phone outreach community engagement and database management.
- Conduct vital study-related procedures including collecting vital signs EKGs patient interviews and medical record reviews.
- Perform phlebotomy manage lab specimen collection processing and shipping in accordance with study protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory and study documentation to ensure compliance with sponsor and FDA requirements.
- Assist in managing patient visit scheduling and follow-up communications.
- Answer and triage research office calls providing professional and helpful assistance to patients and clinical partners.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Research Team to promote patient retention and ensure a positive study experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a health or science-related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office research or clinical setting required.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
- Prior experience in patient recruitment or community outreach is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and familiarity with CRIO or other research databases preferred.
- Strong communication organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive approach to learning and teamwork.
