Job Summary
Job Title: Breakfast Cook
Location: Spartanburg SC 29301
Job Summary:
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for daily preparation of breakfast items maintaining high standards of food quality timeliness and presentation. This position also requires availability for catering events outside of normal work shifts.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Prepare breakfast menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Monitor food quality and freshness during service
- Prep ingredients for the following days breakfast
- Maintain adequate supply of hot line products
- Keep cooking and prep areas clean and organized
- Assist with morning prep work for The Cellar
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work in extreme conditions and on potentially hazardous surfaces
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs stand for long periods and move around the campus
Working Conditions:
- Work mostly indoors with occasional outdoor catering events
- Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions
- Work on potentially hazardous surfaces and with chemical solutions
Required Physical Abilities:
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Stand for entire shift
- Bend stoop reach and move around campus
- Use equipment to maintain clean dining hall
- Near vision acuity and verbal abilities for communication
