Were looking for a proactive and reliable IT Support Officer who can take ownership of our IT systems Azure environment and infrastructure support while providing responsive first-line technical assistance to our teams.
Role Overview
The IT Support Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the companys IT infrastructure cloud platforms and endpoint devices. This role combines Azure administration Windows infrastructure support and first-line IT troubleshooting.
Youll play a critical part in ensuring system uptime user satisfaction and smooth day-to-day technical operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Azure Administration
- Manage and maintain Azure Active Directory virtual machines and cloud resources.
- Monitor and optimize performance of Azure services and infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts access control and security groups within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Configure and maintain Windows servers network devices and VPN connections.
- Ensure system backups patch management and update schedules are implemented effectively.
Technical Support & Helpdesk
- Act as the first point of contact for all IT support issues via chat email or phone.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware software and network issues in a timely manner.
- Support company laptops peripherals and mobile devices (Windows/macOS).
- Log track and manage incidents through the IT ticketing system (e.g. Jira Zendesk Freshdesk).
- Escalate complex technical issues to second-line or vendor support when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps and IT assets.
Operations & Process Management
- Perform regular system health checks and ensure network and system uptime.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including system provisioning and access management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement new tools or integrations.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards data protection and security protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in IT support systems administration or infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration VPN setup and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira Zendesk Freshdesk).
- Good understanding of IT security best practices and endpoint protection.
- Excellent troubleshooting analytical and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
