Job Summary

oin a high-performing civil engineering team as a Groundworks Supervisor where youll take ownership of site safety team performance and groundworks delivery across a wide range of projects. If youre a hands-on leader with deep technical know-how and a proactive mindset we want to hear from you.

What Youll Be Doing:

Lead toolbox talks and risk assessment briefings to promote a safety-first culture.
Ensure operatives are working safely efficiently and to plan.
Oversee plant materials and labour to meet programme deadlines.
Supervise safe excavation around live/buried services.
Translate site programmes into practical on-the-ground activities.
Drive high standards in quality health & safety and productivity.
Manage and coordinate sub-contractors and on-site teams.
Maintain excellent communication with clients and site management.
Interpret drawings and technical build details confidently.
Apply strong commercial awareness to day-to-day decision-making.

What You Bring:

Expertise in all areas of groundworks including:
- Ground beams drainage sub-structure concrete externals roads housing slabs cut & fill and more.
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative can-do approach.
Proven experience working independently and as part of a team.

Required Cards & Qualifications:

CITB SMSTS (5-Day Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS Supervisor Card
First Aid at Work Certificate
Safety Critical Medical (Site-Specific)

General Expectations:

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Able to collaborate with other trades to support programme delivery.
Right to work in the UK.
Completion of IT induction and training within the first 13 months.
