Our client is a privately owned Queensland-based company that has been setting the standard in steel fabrication since 1972. They have alarge metal fabrication workshop which has industry specialistsfabricatingparts for theDefence Mining Agriculture and Transport sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Despatch Team Leader to join their team in Archerfieldwith immediate start available!

This position will commence casual with a view to permanent transition after 3months for the successful applicant.

Monday to Friday7am - 3.30pm with early finish on Fridays!

We are looking to add another Dispatch clerk to the team with leadership experience. Receiving in stock unloading goods and receipting etc.

A senior person for despatch would want thisperson to takecharge and runthe section (working in with the training coordinator).

THE ROLE:

• Organising truck deliveries and collections
• Booking couriers
• Arranging for jobs to be wrapped and packed
• Ensuring jobs are ready for despatch on time (which could include liaising with other departments on when jobs will be available)
• Receive in all product
• Unload goods by hand and forklift
• Process paperwork
• Receipt in computer
• Stocktake

ABOUT YOU:

• Must have a forklift licence
• Be computer literate
• Strong attention to detail
• Have good organisational skills
• Ability to self-manage
• Truck licencewould be advantageous but not a necessity
• Previous leadership experience is beneficial but experience in a despatch/warehouse picking/packing sort of role is a must!
• Attitude and reliability goes a long way everything else can be taught

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to existing Defence contracts a pre-employment D&A screen will be performed and a Police Check required upon commencement.

Willing to offer $42-44/hr as the casual rate depending on level of experience!
