Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Lead Sound Technician reporting to and working closely with the Technical Director provides audio support for all productions in the Catherine B. Berges theatre and Steinberg Performance Lab.

Work to execute the implication and augmentation of all sound elements.
Maintain all audio equipment.
Update and maintain audio equipment inventory.
Keep audio equipment storage spaces clean and orderly.
Program and operate Yamaha QL series sound consoles
Program and execute sound cues and effects in QLab.
Setup and strike of sound equipment as instructed by Technical Director.
Education and/ or Qualifications:
Minimum three years experience in sound design and engineering is required.
Proficient knowledge of Yamaha QL series sound consoles is required.
Proficient knowledge of Dante networking is preferred.
Experience sound mixing live events is required.
Competencies:
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to work as a team player and take on individual projects.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
This position requires work on nights and weekends dependent upon COCAs Production Schedule.
This position is self-scheduled; individuals who have availability sign up for shifts on a call sheet that is shared weekly with all crew members.
