The Role What Youll Do
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons across KS3KS5.
Inspire students to develop programming problem-solving and analytical skills through hands-on learning.
Integrate modern technologies and digital tools to enhance student engagement and creativity.
Contribute to departmental planning assessment and the development of new curriculum initiatives.
Support extracurricular opportunities such as coding clubs robotics teams and computing competitions.
Play an active role in the wider school community through tutor responsibilities trips and open evenings.
Person Specification
Essential
Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with experience teaching KS3KS5.
Excellent subject knowledge including programming (Python Java or similar).
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding inclusion and student development.
Desirable
Experience teaching AQA or Edexcel specifications at GCSE/A-Level.
Interest in AI game design or robotics.
Ability to contribute to cross-curricular digital innovation initiatives.
