Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan coherent knowledge-rich maths and English sequences as the Year 4 Teacher.
Use assessment to personalise learning and run targeted interventions as the Year 4 Teacher.
Lead enrichment activities trips and cross-curricular projects as the Year 4 Teacher.
Work with colleagues in KS2 and attend moderation and subject development meetings beginning before January 2026 and continuing after January 2026 as the Year 4 Teacher.
Year 4 Teacher Requirements
QTS and strong KS2 experience expected of the Year 4 Teacher.
A Year 4 Teacher with strong subject knowledge excellent behaviour strategies and a collaborative mindset.
Available to prepare prior to January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach as a Full-Time Year 4 Teacher from January 2026.
Curriculum leadership & development for the Year 4 Teacher
The Year 4 Teacher will have opportunities to lead a subject strand develop schemes of learning and mentor colleagues within the KS2 phase. The Year 4 Teacher will participate in subject development meetings beginning prior to January 2026 and will contribute to the schools improvement plan after the January 2026 start. This Full-Time Year 4 Teacher role allows the Year 4 Teacher to refine assessment practice and to trial research-informed approaches.
