Job Summary
Are you a motivated Year 6 Teacher seeking a Full-Time leadership classroom role starting January 2026 A Good Manchester primary is looking for a Year 6 Teacher to lead its upper-key-stage cohort. The successful Year 6 Teacher will prepare prior to January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 6 Teacher.

The role Year 6 Teacher
This Year 6 Teacher will design revision and curriculum sequences that develop high-order reading and reasoning skills; the Year 6 Teacher will lead SATs preparation as appropriate and run targeted booster sessions. The Year 6 Teacher will coordinate transition to secondary schools and work closely with pastoral teams in the weeks before January 2026 and after January 2026. The Full-Time Year 6 Teacher will be part of leadership discussions and assessment cycles from January 2026.
Leadership and CPD for the Year 6 Teacher
This role is ideal for a Year 6 Teacher looking to progress into middle leadership. The Year 6 Teacher will be supported with leadership coaching opportunities for curriculum leadership and access to a development budget for courses after January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will lead moderation and will mentor colleagues using data to inform teaching and to close attainment gaps following the January 2026 start.
Classroom impact and community for the Year 6 Teacher
As Year 6 Teacher you will create a culture of high expectations resilience and independence. The Year 6 Teacher will run revision clubs coordinate peer tutoring and lead transition evenings with secondary colleagues in the weeks before January 2026 and after January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will also contribute to extra-curricular provision which enriches pupils broader development and community links after January 2026.
