Position Summary
The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the Human Resources function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will oversee and execute day-to-day HR operations including employee relations payroll compliance recruiting onboarding benefits administration and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local state and federal employment laws and regulations as well as experience managing HR processes in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers providing guidance on HR policies employee relations and performance management.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws (EEO FMLA ADA FLSA OSHA etc.).
Conduct and document employee relations investigations disciplinary actions and conflict resolutions with fairness and consistency.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance with all wage and hour regulations.
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts including job postings interviewing hiring and onboarding new employees.
Manage and administer employee benefits leave programs and open enrollment processes.
Maintain and update employee records HRIS data and personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Partner with supervisors and leadership to improve workplace culture employee engagement and retention.
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies procedures and best practices to align with organizational goals.
Support safety and compliance initiatives in partnership with EHS and Operations teams.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of progressive HR experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of federal state and local employment laws.
Experience with payroll processing systems and HRIS platforms.
Proven ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic fast-paced setting.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
