Job Summary
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Light Industrial Machinist to operate and maintain machinery produce precision parts and ensure high-quality output in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with various machine tools and a strong understanding of machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up operate and maintain light industrial machinery including lathes mills and grinders.
Interpret blueprints technical drawings and schematics to produce parts to specification.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper operation.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major problems to management.
Maintain safe work practices and comply with all company safety protocols.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
Proven experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
PPE required as per company safety standards.
