We are currently hiring a Basic Grade Radiographer for a Hospital in Galway Ireland.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical indications.
Ensure accurate patient identification care comfort and safety during all radiographic procedures.
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment.
Maintain and operate imaging equipment safely performing routine checks and reporting technical issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and hospital policies at all times.
Participate in quality assurance programmes to maintain high standards of imaging and service delivery.
Keep up to date with developments in radiographic technology and techniques.
Support training supervision and mentoring of students or junior staff as required.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and initiative in addressing technical or clinical challenges.
Requirements
BSc (Hons) in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or an equivalent qualification.
CORU registration (and maintenance of same) is essential.
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to perform high-standard clinical imaging across modalities including MRI CT Cardiac Catheterisation General Radiography Theatre and Interventional/Fluoroscopy Radiology.
Proficiency in intravenous cannulation.
Flexibility to work various shift patterns and participate in on-call rotas as required.
Strong understanding of data protection confidentiality and hospital documentation standards.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient-centred care while maintaining professional standards.
