Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care settings.

We are currently hiring a Basic Grade Radiographer for a Hospital in Galway Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical indications.

  • Ensure accurate patient identification care comfort and safety during all radiographic procedures.

  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment.

  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment safely performing routine checks and reporting technical issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and hospital policies at all times.

  • Participate in quality assurance programmes to maintain high standards of imaging and service delivery.

  • Keep up to date with developments in radiographic technology and techniques.

  • Support training supervision and mentoring of students or junior staff as required.

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and initiative in addressing technical or clinical challenges.



Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or an equivalent qualification.

  • CORU registration (and maintenance of same) is essential.

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area is desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-standard clinical imaging across modalities including MRI CT Cardiac Catheterisation General Radiography Theatre and Interventional/Fluoroscopy Radiology.

  • Proficiency in intravenous cannulation.

  • Flexibility to work various shift patterns and participate in on-call rotas as required.

  • Strong understanding of data protection confidentiality and hospital documentation standards.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient-centred care while maintaining professional standards.
