We are seeking a Software Defined Network Engineer to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and troubleshooting network environments for multiple customers in an international context. Working within our experienced team the Network Engineer will manage network administration tasks support new customer site implementations and cover second-level tasks independently. This role involves working in shifts with an encore standby rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network administration associate-level tasks and demonstrate an ability to independently manage Network Administrator tasks including Silver Peak Smart SD-WAN operation.
- Support new customer site implementations including setting up services and transitioning them to RFS/RFU.
- Independently handle 2nd level tasks in daily operations.
- Monitor network solutions or the backbone network preparing tickets for any detected defects/issues.
- Document issues as necessary diagnose lower-level problems and prioritize urgency for resolution.
- Resolve problems logged in incoming bug tickets manage changes and configure network peripherals/devices as required.
- Generate problem tickets for complex bugs/serious issues and escalate them to the next support level.
- Set values for predefined network parameters for complex network solutions operated by the team.
- Perform required changes in configuration management in collaboration with other departments.
- Close and document resolved cases and archive tickets after approval from a senior person if necessary.
- Coordinate and work with the local field service on customer sites.
Team Dynamics:
- The core network development engineering team is Hungarian but the architects customers field engineers and project management are international.
- A high level of professional English and IT Network industrial knowledge is required.
Growth and Opportunities:
- The SDWAN network segment is constantly expanding supporting an increasing number of customers and site specifications.
- Once stability is achieved in the current role there is a requirement to get involved in data center and point of presence core integration as well.

- The new candidate will be integrated into a team highly experienced in both software-defined networking and WAN LAN and Network Architect skill sets.
- A comprehensive onboarding process will be provided initially.
- However we are not offering network skill enablement; the candidate is expected to already possess fundamental networking skills.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage network administration tasks at an associate level.
- Successful scores in group/client-specific tests demonstrating capability to manage Network Administrator tasks independently.
- Experience with Silver Peak Smart SD-WAN operation is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interworking with field service teams and other departments.
- Profound knowledge in TCP/IP and WAN protocols (BGP OSPF EIGRP)
- fluent English language (at least B2 level) German language is an advantage
Qualifications :
At least Bsc. degree (IT field network specialisation is an advantage)
3-4 years spent in network administration
Knowledge of CISCO and Juniper
CCNA certifications or equivalent knowledge
ITIL V3 V4 Foundations certification or similar (e.g. T-Systems Zero Outage Esaris)
