Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Line Management and R&D Management to generate development schedules that achieve key project milestones NPI deliverables business requirements and customer satisfaction.
Manage cross-functional team to procure material assemble and test product complete internal qualification testing ship qualifiable samples to customers and launch early-stage ramp in the factory.
Escort Transceiver products through R&D NPI Phase Gate process meet NPI deliverable and deliver qualified products to the global Operations team.
Primary team interface working with design team internal support groups operations team and marketing; be a catalyst for engagement.
Manage the project schedule communicate status highlight gaps to plan to stakeholders and management.
Set manage and communicate expectations to the project team management and other stakeholders.
Identify and manage project resource constraints dependencies and critical paths to accomplish the program goals; resolve issues.
Manage material supply to ensure build configuration and schedule will support required NPI deliverables.
Regular communication with global manufacturing and supply chain team members.
Light travel for development activities: global team coordination product transfer and problem resolution.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in an engineering or science discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with optical transceivers or components desirable.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or Product Lifecycle Management processes.
Experience successfully managing cross-functional teams interacting with a broad range of functions skills cultures and personalities.

Skills

Strong problem solving critical thinking and risk management skills.
Strong communication planning and organizational skills.
Previous experience as an engineer in R&D or Operations a strong advantage.
Highly self-motivated with a strong multi-disciplinary background is essential.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite required.
Experience with Oracle Agile and MS Project desirable

Working Conditions

This position is onsite
May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executives needs

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
