Fort Hood TX Full-Time On-site Position Contingent Upon Award
Were seeking a reliable and detailoriented Material Handling Specialist to support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) operations for the Abrams family of this role youll manage inventory material movement requisition fulfillment and support fielding logistics with a focus on warehouse and kitting operations. Your efforts will directly support U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) sustainment initiatives.
Maintain warehouse stock levels in support of Abrams fielding and sustainment activities.
Fulfill requisitions and purchase orders; manage material staging and kitting.
Load unload and transport Abrams-related parts and materials safely and efficiently.
Organize and maintain inventory locations for accountability and audit readiness.
Conduct inventories and coordinate with gaining units during fielding events.
Support logistics teams by executing packing labeling and material movement protocols.
Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts pallet jacks) in compliance with OSHA standards.
Use logistics systems such as GCSS-Army AESIP and other platforms for inventory control and shipment tracking.
Must meet qualifications for Material Coordinator (Occupation Code 21030) standards including:
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in warehouse operations supply chain logistics and inventory systems.
Ability to understand supply classifications (Class II IV VII IX) and documentation standards.
Detail-oriented approach to documentation and reconciliation.
Familiarity with DoD regulations including 4500.9-R and 49 CFR for HAZMAT compliance.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Certifications Required:
Current OSHA forklift operator certification.
Valid HAZMAT and environmental safety certifications.
HAZMAT certification must meet DoD 4500.9-R and 49 CFR requirements.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management or material coordination.
Previous experience supporting military logistics or fielding operations preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work: lift/move up to 50 lb occasionally; 30 lb frequently.
Physical activity includes stooping standing climbing and operating equipment.
Experience with Abrams vehicle systems and associated logistics.
Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) fielding and sustainment.
Prior support of DoD logistics programs ideally with TACOM or similar.
