Job Summary

Were looking for an experienced Manager of Building & Educational Programs to join our team a hands-on leader who can balance operational efficiency with a passion for community creativity and connection.

This role combines educational programming management with building operations oversight ensuring our studios classes and physical space thrive as welcoming inspiring environments for artists students and visitors alike.

What Youll Do

Educational Programming

  • Oversee all class schedules workshops and events across mixed-media disciplines.
  • Recruit manage and support teaching staff and studio technicians.
  • Ensure all artistic equipment and studio spaces are well-maintained and functional.
  • Streamline and automate class registration databases and studio processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for teachers and students providing timely communication and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to promote upcoming classes memberships and events.
  • Maintain educational content on the website and support social media engagement.
  • Manage materials and supplies coordinating reimbursements and inventory as needed.
  • Occasionally represent the studio at off-site educational or public events.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Building & Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of our building including maintenance housekeeping and vendor coordination.
  • Supervise maintenance and cleaning personnel ensuring a safe organized and welcoming environment.
  • Manage building systems (utilities HVAC supplies etc.) and respond to repair or service needs.
  • Greet and assist visitors answer phone inquiries and provide general building tours.
  • Maintain operational supplies manage mail and ensure building security and access procedures.
  • Be on-call for building-related issues after hours as needed.
  • Record and maintain SOPs for building operations and maintenance.
  • Other related duties as assigned

HR & Membership Support

  • Oversee studio tenants and member leases ensuring smooth operations and positive relationships.
  • Develop and enforce clear policies for leaseholders and retail artists.

Who You Are

You have:

  • Experience managing a small business building operations or similar environments formal training in Operations Management preferred.
  • An understanding of how to engage and support artists across disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you lead with warmth and clarity.
  • The ability to manage multiple systems and people efficiently.
  • Strong technical comfort with digital tools (Microsoft Office Square QuickBooks Google Workspace databases automations etc.).
  • A proactive hands-on mindset willing to pitch in wherever needed.
  • A calm organized presence with great problem-solving instincts.
