Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- As part of the Travel Industry Sales team you will make clients feel valued and assist in creating memorable guest experiences.
- Actively solicits new accounts to meet/exceed goals through telephone sales calls outside sales calls site inspections and written communication.
- Maintain existing relationships with key account contacts by communicating on a routine basis.
- Prospect local corporate accounts and develop strategies to increase business travel revenues.
- Work closely with hotel departments to help facilitate services agreed upon by sales office. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction.
- Maintains positive relationships with all guests vendors colleagues and global sales network
- Maintains account contact activity and business details within Opera S&C according to Fairmont standards
- Ensures delivery of expected guest service through follow up and coordination with other hotel departments
- Participate in daily meetings site inspections training.
- Attend trade shows local events and travel pertinent to the position.
- Execute marketing programs and promotions as needed
- Manages the Business Travel Sales Manager and Coordinator

Qualifications :
- Understands the overall market competitors strengths and weaknesses economic trends supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Able to self-manage and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Eye for detail and highly organized
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Experience with Opera OSEM preferred
- Experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. OR 4-year bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major; 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.
