JOB GOAL:

The AP Testing Assistant Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the administration and management of the Advanced Placement (AP) exam program at Natick High School. Working closely with the AP Coordinator this position helps ensure the seamless execution of all AP testing activities during the critical exam period from April through June. This role includes some preparation before May exams coordination and implementation throughout the exam window and post-exam closing tasks. This position must be filled by someone who does not currently hold a Unit A or B position because it takes place during the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the AP Coordinator in organizing and administering the AP exam program in compliance with College Board policies.
  • Help manage secure storage distribution and return of AP exam materials.
  • Assist with exam proctoring logistics and ensure proper staffing and supervision during exams.
  • Aid in reconciling exam materials and data with the College Board post-testing.
  • Address the needs of students and staff related to AP testing with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Maintain strict adherence to College Board deadlines and testing procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operation of the AP exams.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling student and testing information.
  • Coordinate with the technology department to implement testing as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or GED

Professional Certification:

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity equity inclusion and social justice as they relate to student staff and community engagement and cultivation

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in proctoring or coordinating standardized testing (AP SAT PSAT IB MCAS) preferred.
  • Prior experience working within a school district preferred.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Drive Docs Sheets Slides Classroom etc.) and PowerSchool preferred but will train the right candidate.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  • Bilingual skills especially in Spanish and Portuguese are highly desirable
  • Candidates should have a passion for working with students families and colleagues
  • Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
  • Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced supportive environment that nurtures student growth
  • Candidates must be organized and able to meet ongoing time-sensitive deadlines for work production

Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.

  • operate a computer and other school/office productivity machinery (i.e. iPad copy machine computer printer assistive technology etc.);
  • read material from a computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or without visual aids;
  • position oneself to maintain files and access school/classroom/office materials;
  • communicate with others so that information received and given is understood and accurately communicated;
  • communicate and collaborate effectively with students parents and other staff members in person via video conference on the telephone and/or in writing;
  • observe details at close range
  • in the school setting ensure the safety of students;
  • multitask and meet multiple demands from several people;
  • may need to teach and support students with life skills development such as eating cleaning and toileting
  • lifting up to and including 25 lbs
  • the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
