We are currently hiring a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the delivery of high-quality inpatient mental health treatment and care.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of safe effective and high-quality mental health care.
Oversee the daily management and coordination of nursing and multidisciplinary teams within the inpatient unit.
Develop implement and evaluate clinical practices policies and procedures in line with best practice and regulatory standards.
Promote a recovery-oriented approach to mental health treatment ensuring service users are treated with dignity and respect.
Manage staffing levels skill mix and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.
Support mentor and develop nursing staff through supervision appraisal and continuing professional development.
Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives audits and risk management processes.
Foster effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the service.
Contribute to the strategic planning budgeting and operational management of the service
Requirements
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in infection prevention and control.
Proven ability to design deliver and evaluate staff training programmes.
Evidence of continuous professional development and commitment to ongoing learning.
Excellent communication leadership and relationship management skills.
Commitment to further study in Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) and SafeWards to ensure ongoing competence and compliance.
Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control Nursing Management SafeWards or a related field (desirable).
Experience implementing the SafeWards model and working within quality improvement frameworks.
Proven track record in audit governance and risk management.
