The opportunity

• Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain logistics and operations professionals.

  • Foster a high-performance culture ensuring that the team is well-trained motivated and aligned with the companys strategic goals.

  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.

• Supply Chain and Logistics Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics operations ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  • Oversee the design and execution of supply chain networks including transportation warehousing inventory management and distribution channels.

  • Ensure that logistics operations meet customer expectations including timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.

• Contract Management:

  • Oversee the negotiation execution and management of supply chain contracts with clients suppliers and vendors.

  • Ensure that all contract terms are adhered to with a strong focus on performance metrics service level agreements (SLAs) and compliance.

  • Manage contract renewals amendments and dispute resolution ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.

• Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization across the logistics network.

  • Introduce and manage technologies or software that improve operational efficiency tracking and reporting.

  • Ensure that operational processes are scalable flexible and adaptable to changing business needs or customer demands.

• Cost Control and Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets ensuring adherence to financial targets and cost optimization.

  • Analyze supply chain costs and performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

  • Monitor and report on operational performance against budgets forecasts and KPIs.

• Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and manage operational risks within the supply chain including those related to transportation warehousing and delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements industry standards and health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor and mitigate any potential disruptions or supply chain failures that could impact service delivery.

• Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service quality.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries issues and concerns regarding logistics operations.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement based on customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use data analytics to monitor performance metrics and KPIs across the supply chain.

  • Produce regular reports on operational efficiency inventory levels transportation costs and delivery performance.

  • Present operational insights and performance reports to senior management highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.

• Technology Integration:

  • Lead the adoption and implementation of new logistics technologies such as warehouse management systems (WMS) transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant tools.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in logistics and supply chain management to drive innovation.
