We are seeking a dedicated Special Educator who will work closely with students who have diverse learning needs providing personalized support and instruction to help them reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing students abilities developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Implementing effective teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers parents and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide specialized instruction in various subjects or skills including reading writing math and social skills.
- Stay updated on best practices research and laws related to special education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress IEPs and related documentation.
- Complete required reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Relevant certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws.
- Flexibility and adaptability in instructional approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience empathy and a passion for helping students with special needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized teaching techniques.
