FACULTY POSITION DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE DIVISION OF NEPHROLOGY

Job Description

Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University is now accepting applications for a full-time employed faculty position in the Department of Medicine Division of Nephrology.

Come practice nephrology in the state-of-the-art brand-new Honickman Center!

TheDivision of Nephrology is seeking an incumbent who will contribute to and enhance the educational and clinical activities within the division by providing compassionate efficient high-quality consultative patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings and supporting the division and departments research goals.

Position Responsibilities:

Rounding includes general consultative and dialysis services as well as shared weekend calls with the entire faculty on a rotational basis.
Involvement in specialty clinics journal clubs and patient review meetings is required. You will be a crucial member of the team
Engage in TJUs clinical teaching and research mission. Develop educational materials and provide instruction to fellows residents nurses students and other staff involved in nephrology patient care.
Ambulatory nephrology clinics in the Honickman Center with some satellite coverage and telehealth clinics

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have an MD/DO degree or equivalent
Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients
Completed 2-year fellowship in nephrology
Applicants should possess a license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania by the time the appointment starts
Interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting
POCUS experience preferred but not required.

Please note this location does not qualify for J-1 Visa Waiver requirements.
