Position at Sharon Hospital
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations Danbury Hospital New Milford Hospital Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations including The Heart Center a leading provider of cardiology care. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations within span of control resolving problems as necessary and ensuring that operations are efficient compliant safe and of the highest possible quality.
- Optimize management structures and workflows within span of control to continually improve quality and efficiency.
- Provide oversight of patient care on all units to ensure quality of care and service including; facilitation timely admissions participating in purposeful patient rounding and collaboration with clinical nurses physicians and other key care providers.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication for effective patient focused care.
- Identify staffing needs and direct resources in accordance with patient census/activity in collaboration with Staffing Coordinator to assure adequate staffing.
- Work in collaboration with CNO and Nursing Directors to support and drive nursing initiatives and goals.
- Participate in performance management including annual performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures as required.
- Comply with all Health Quest and affiliate policies and ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulation. 8. Regular attendance at committee meetings as required.
- Maintain contemporary professional knowledge and education.
- Demonstrates regular reliable and predictable attendance Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
- BSN preferred; ASN accepted
- Minimum two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity
- CT RN License
- Current BLS ACLS & PALS is required by the start of orientation
