About the role:

Gen3 seeks an experiencedInformation Security Manager to support UNICORs mission of maintaining the security confidentiality and integrity of systems operated by Federal Prison Industries. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robust security policies and procedures overseeing network security architecture managing intrusion detection and prevention systems monitoring and responding to security incidents and ensuring compliance with federal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies procedures and controls.
• Design develop and implement secure network architectures.
• Manage and maintain IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems).
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and provide detailed reports.
• Monitor security systems and lead responses to security incidents.
• Oversee security solutions and ensure system resilience.
• Ensure compliance with federal and industry security standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of security professionals.
• Oversee vulnerability management security controls and risk assessment activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science or related field).
• 15 years of related experience or 10 years with an active CISSP certification.
• Deep understanding of information security concepts including access control network security cryptography and vulnerability management.
• Experience managing security projects and personnel.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 controls.
• Experience responding to and managing security incidents.

Employment Eligibility: Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Most of our positions require a government security clearance you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder for consideration. Certain positions require at least three (3) of the past five (5) years of residence in the United States.

• A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
• Candidates must possess either an active green card or citizenship.
