Position Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the chief executive and instructional leader ofAPCSI. Under the direction and authority of the Board of Trustees the CEO provides visionaryleadership ensures academic and operational excellence manages financial stability and fostersstrong relationships among students staff families and the community.
The CEO is responsible for carrying out the mission vision and strategic goals of theorganization ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and maintaining alignment withthe Arkansas Department of Educations charter school performance expectations.
The ideal candidate for Chief Executive Officer of APCSI is a visionary and student-centeredleader with a proven record of improving academic outcomes and operational performance. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and implement the organizations strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.
- Inspire motivate and guide school leaders teachers and staff to achieve excellence in student outcomes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement innovation and accountability.
- Represent the organization publicly as its primary spokesperson and advocate for charter school education in the community and at the state level.
- Develop and implement a plan for increasing student enrollment at APCSI.
Academic Excellence
- Oversee the design implementation and evaluation of instructional programs andcurriculum to ensure high levels of student achievement.
- Ensure compliance with all academic standards charter requirements and accountabilitymeasures.
- Support professional development and cultivate instructional leadership among principalsand staff.
Operations and Finance
- Ensure sound fiscal management and stewardship of public funds.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and promotion strategy that supportsand enhances the schools fundraising initiatives.
- Develop and manage an annual budget consistent with the organizations goals andpriorities.
- Oversee all operational functions including human resources budgeting facilities andtechnology.
- Ensure effective data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting to the Board.
Governance and Board Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Trustees and school operations.
- Provide timely accurate and relevant information to the Board to support informed governance.
- Implement Board policies and directives effectively and ethically.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with parents community leaders and educationalorganizations.
- Advocate for the needs and interests of APCSI at the local and state levels.
- Promote a positive school culture centered on student success and staff collaboration.
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree in Education Educational Leadership Public Administration or arelated field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful leadership experience in a school district or chartermanagement organization.
- Demonstrated success in improving student academic outcomes and managing complexeducational operations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Arkansas Superintendent License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience leading or working within a charter school system.
- Proven track record in strategic planning policy implementation and communitypartnerships.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. A comprehensivebenefits package is included.
