GL&NS Financial Specialist

This global role supports financial planning reporting and governance within Pfizers Global Supply Chain Finance team. Key responsibilities include budgeting forecasting variance analysis and month-end close activities. The scope also includes full lifecycle management of Purchase Orders and Cost Centers ensuring compliance with Pfizers financial standards. A strong focus on continuous improvement and automationusing tools like Anaplan Power BI and Tableaumakes this role ideal for candidates with an analytical mindset and a drive to simplify complex financial processes.

Financial Planning & Reporting

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and manage templates for budget actuals and forecasts. Consolidate inputs from stakeholders and ensure timely accurate submissions.

• Reporting & Analysis: Analyze monthly variances against budget and forecast identify key drivers and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making.

• Month-End Closing: Support financial close activities including preparation and booking of accruals depreciation and amortization journals. Ensure completeness accuracy and compliance of financial data.

• Documentation & Audit: Maintain processes documentation. Support internal and external audit procedures.

Purchase Order & Cost Center Governance

• Purchase Order Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Purchase Orders (POs) including creation tracking review adjustment and closure. Conduct regular reviews with PO owners to validate usage adjust amounts and ensure timely closure.

• Cost Center Governance: Oversee the full lifecycle of Cost Centers including creation periodic review and closure of obsolete or inactive cost centers. Ensure all Cost Centers are set up and maintained in accordance with Pfizers hierarchy rules and financial governance standards.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Continuous Improvement: Identify and support CI initiatives across GSC Finance.

• Automation Delivery: Support automation projects through application of advanced tools such as Anaplan Power BI Tableau Power Query.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an international environment.

• Fluency in English.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point.

• Experience with SAP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with any data analytics and automation platform.

• Willing to work flexible hours to support global operations.
