Our EnergyCo Corporate Secretariat team are excited to offer the following opportunity to manage the Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF)

The $2.4 billion Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF) is a revolving capital facility established to fast-track critical transmission infrastructure and enabling projects under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 and the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap. The TAF Investment Committee (TAF IC) an advisory committee to the EnergyCo Board provides oversight on financial risk and funding recovery for eligible projects including Renewable Energy Zones.

As Manager TAF Coordination you will steward this facility on behalf of the TAF IC EnergyCo Board and CEO ensuring early funding of priority infrastructure and reinvestment of recovered funds to maintain momentum across the roadmap. Youll provide governance leadership drive operational improvements and ensure strong alignment across executive board and committee stakeholders.

Key priorities for the next six months include:

  • Manage secretariat support and governance for the TAF Investment Committee
  • Provide strategic governance and compliance advice to the Corporate Secretary and executive team
  • Plan and implement a forward funding schedule in consultation with Project Directors and PMO
  • Lead reporting to the Board TAF IC and other senior stakeholders
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders on funding matters
  • Lead onboarding of new TAF IC members (subject to Board approval)
  • Monitor evaluate and report on TAF and TAF IC performance

About You
Youre a strategic operator with a deep understanding of major infrastructure delivery - ideally in the energy sector - and bring a sharp program management mindset grounded in industry standards and best practice. You know how to uplift governance policy financial and change management processes and are confident reviewing complex funding proposals and shaping tailored advice for decision-makers.

With exceptional stakeholder influence and relationship management skills you navigate complex environments with ease while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality in everything you deliver. Youre comfortable leading a small team and thrive in fast-paced high-stakes settings where priorities shift and impact matters.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in public administration policy law governance or related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Governments
Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap which aims to transform the states electricity system into one that is cheap clean and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the States first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs) which are located in the Central-West Orana New England South West Hunter-Central Coast and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities investors and industry to investigate plan recommend and coordinate generation storage and network infrastructure projects.
