Salary Range: 50-75k Depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Summary
The De Smet Development Corporation (DDC) is hiring an Executive Director to lead economic growth initiatives in De Smet SD. This role focuses on business attraction entrepreneurship workforce development and quality-of-life improvements. Ideal candidates are passionate about rural development and skilled in building cross-sector partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Strategic Growth: Develop and execute initiatives that drive business attraction retention workforce development and quality-of-life improvements.
Build Partnerships & Community Engagement: Foster relationships with local stakeholders government and residents to align efforts and promote shared goals.
Promote De Smet: Serve as the public face of DDC marketing the community to investors businesses and visitors through outreach and digital platforms.
Manage Operations & Governance: Oversee daily operations budgeting grant development and provide strategic support to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent years of experience.
Experience in management and/or economic development and nonprofit leadership.
Strong communication relationship-building and project management skills.
