St Leonards College is seeking an experienced Economics Teacher to join our College community on a part time basis (approximate 0.60 FTE) from Term 1 2026.
Reporting to the Head of Learning Commerce the role will be responsible for teaching VCE and/or IBDP Economics in addition to Year 10 Commerce subjects.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education.
- Current VIT Registration.
- A current knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (Economics).
- Experience in teaching VCE and/or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Economics (preferred)
- Previous experience teaching within an Independent School setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
- Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment.
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
