In 2026 our Primary school will have 308 students in years 4 to 6 with over 680 studentsfrom Kindergarten to Year 6. This position will involve working alongside classroom teachers inmore than one classroom.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for teaching Art Specialisation to middle and upper primary school aged children who has a willingness to care for and connect with students parents and staff. A strong knowledge of West Australian Primary Arts curriculum content and pedagogy is desirable.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
- Knowledge of the SCSA West Australian Visual Curriculum and its implementation in a Primary School context.
- Strong communication skills.
- A willingness to work as part of a team; closely collaborating with other Primary School Staff.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to excellence in learning for all students.
- Excellent teaching standards.
Essential Criteria:
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefsbehaviour and practices.
- Acceptance of the CollegesStatement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
- Modelappropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- Commitment tomaintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.
- Possession of the following certifications:
- TRBWA / National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
