We are looking to hire a Business Strategy Manager in Austin TX reporting to our Senior Director of Commercial this role you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives conducting market intelligence analysis optimizing & updating coverage models and leveraging analytics to drive growth in Core Industrial markets and New Business opportunities. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking financial acumen competitive analysis and data-driven decision-making to support executive leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying emerging opportunities optimizing sales coverage and enhancing business performance through actionable insights.
What a typical day looks like:
Develop and implement business strategies to drive market expansion in Core Industrial segments and emerging / growing markets.
Partner with senior leadership to set long-term strategic priorities and roadmap execution.
Identify and evaluate growth opportunities through M&A partnerships or new market entry
Conduct scenario planning and risk assessment to optimize decision-making
Lead market intelligence efforts analyzing industry trends market trends customer behavior and competitive positioning.
Build frameworks for continuous monitoring of competitors existing customers disruptive technologies and regulatory changes.
Provide insights to identify white space opportunities and market entry strategies.
Develop Go to Market strategies & frameworks to improve targeting and value propositions.
Design and refine the sales coverage model to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
Optimize resource allocation across geographies industries and customer segments.
Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of coverage strategies and salesforce performance.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to improve go-to-market execution.
Analyze financial models to evaluate price competitiveness identify cost reduction areas & improvements as well as support pricing strategies to enable financial health and new business wins acceleration.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or other similar field of study.
10 years experience.
Strong expertise in financial modeling business analytics market assessment & Strategy development
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI Excel Power Point SQL).
Experience with CRM salesforce analytics and forecasting tools.
Knowledge of coverage model design channel strategy and resource allocation.
Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize data and translate it into actionable insights.
Strong executive presence with excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional initiatives.
