What youll be doing
Reporting to the COO the General Manager oversee all sales and operations in the local satellite office. This position will ensure the streamlining of communications time management and delivery at all levels both internal and external. The General Manager will improve sales methods and procedures and implement and maintain/improve service quality and output. The position will also coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories quotas and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.
You will be responsible for...
- Oversee daily operations of the branch including sales project management and field operations.
- Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business based on corporates goals and expectations.
- Coordinate the development of key performance goals functions and direct reports.
- Provide direct management of Directors in each local branch.
- Ensure the health of the branch by using comparative P&L s year over year.
- Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the branchs offerings to customers.
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
- Oversee key hiring and talent development programs.
- Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment infrastructure and talent.
- Communicate strategy and results to the branch Directors and employees.
- Report key results to corporate officers.
- Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning including real estate M&A and marketing.
- Engage in budgeting and Cap Ex strategic buying.
What skills & experience youll bring to us
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a paving landscaping or construction type environment viewed as a plus
- Ten years sales experience in a construction environment or to the facilities/operations market is a plus
- Must demonstrate competency in interpreting and applying complex estimating guidelines
- Excellent math and geometry skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
