WHAT YOU DO AS A COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT

Heres the kind of work youll be excited to dive into:

• Collaborate with finance and IT to implement and integrate new compliance software ensuring systems meet critical regulatory standards and secure our financial data.
• Solve complex tax issues and maintain the highest level of tax compliance which ensures the companys financial integrity and stability for our internal and external clients.
• Create internal controls and educational programs serving as the companys compliance expert to support our operational teams and drive cross-functional alignment.

As a Compliance Accountant you ensure financial responsibility by managing tax returns business licensing audits and record-keeping. You monitor legal changes assist with tax planning for savings and provide training on regulatory matters. You also integrate technology for efficient compliance reporting and data security delivering accurate reports to management and regulators. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a significant impact.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR IN A COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting
• Proficient with MS Office products especially Excel spreadsheets
• Understanding of various tax rules and business licensing requirements at the federal state and local levels
• Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong research and attention to detail skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Tax and compliance experience is preferred
