We are currently hiring Staff Nurses to join the Nursing Panel of a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Report all relevant patient care information verbally and in writing to appropriate nursing medical and clinical staff.
Ensure all handover reporting and escalation are conducted using the approved ISBAR handover tool.
Liaise and cooperate with other departments as required demonstrating effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in patients medical records in line with hospital policies and confidentiality standards using only approved abbreviations.
Comply with the hospitals medication policy ensuring proper safekeeping administration and recording of controlled drugs at all times.
Perform IV cannulation procedures in accordance with hospital policy and clinical guidelines.
Contribute to nursing best practice by identifying recurring nursing challenges and supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices.
Participate and cooperate in hospital accreditation initiatives including data collection and quality improvement projects.
Deputise for the Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) when required including planning and delegating workloads to meet departmental needs.
Ensure all adverse events incidents or staff/patient difficulties are promptly reported to the CNM or Director of Nursing with full documentation as per hospital policy.
Requirements
- Be a Registered General Nurse on the current live register of NMBI.
- Have at least one years relevant experience.
- Have experience of working in a multi-professional environment.
- A current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory for all Nurses.
- Current Advanced Life Support Certification if applicable to area of work.
