Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBRs enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contracts original prime contractor. Today we have a workforce of over 6000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

Diagnoses repairs and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control computerized numerical control precision and conventional machine tools gasoline diesel and battery-operated vehicles downhole drilling tools and motors and other production equipment used in the development manufacture and testing of products. Areas of specialization may include: electrical mechanical vacuum hydraulic refrigeration NC repair and machine tool rebuilding mobile equipment and electrical production equipment positive displacement mud-motors mud-operated pulsers or downhole drilling tools. Diagnoses and performs major repairs to production equipment. Evaluates machine tool condition and repairs for repeatability and reliability. Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment based on maintenance history. Operates production equipment for troubleshooting purposes. Trains and assists lower-level mechanics. Skills typically acquired through 5 years of machine tool repair experience.
