Position Responsibilities:
Quickly develop a SME level of product knowledge. Provide remote technical support for escalated issues involving industrial automation systems. Assist local maintenance teams in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical electrical and control system problems and guide them through standard repairs. Offer programming and configuration support for new installations of critical system components. Ensure meticulous maintenance and continuous updating of internal documentation repositories detailing all troubleshooting processes and repair activities. Document and analyze new or unique issues encountered in the field delivering detailed reports to engineering teams for further investigation and resolution. Efficiently manage multiple escalations simultaneously ensuring timely and effective resolution in a fast-paced environment. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide continuous support and ensure rapid response to critical issues as they arise.
Position Requirements:
Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Masters degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) working in a controls engineering or support role; (2) in industrial automation; (3) with PLCs VFDs EOATs or related robotic system components and with integrated control architectures; and (4) working with mechanical electrical and control systems. Domestic and international travel up to 50% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
