Position Summary

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our growing Civil Digital Factory Digital & IT team. Were looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in building and managing high-performing teams that people love to work in and someone who will relish the challenge of taking the lead on one of our key development streams.

In this role you will provide day-to-day delivery focussed leadership supplier management coordination to achieve project goals input into product strategy and development of your team. Were looking for a manager who can bring technical specialists together in a cross-functional team to deliver multiple projects supporting our strategic goals. The delivery team is responsible for developing cloud software and infrastructure solutions.

Youll be highly driven and delivery-focussed constantly driving for automation and continuous improvement. Youll be enthusiastic about developing supporting and encouraging people to develop to their full potential to be at their best and to enjoy their jobs.

What you will be doing:

  • . Delivery oversight and accountability for software and infrastructure solutions within the Applications and Insights team.
  • Deliver projects products and services using appropriate management methodologies while providing constant visibility of work in progress planned work and other key metrics.
  • Effective collaboration with the Product Manager Product Owner Architects and other key stakeholders to help shape the roadmap and ensure delivery of project goals.
  • Manage the solution development budget ensuring consistent delivery and excellent returns on investment.
  • Lead work planning activities using collaborative and dynamic processes - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
  • Use appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that all aspects of solution development are carried out in accordance with the agreed standards methods and procedures.
  • Coach and maintain a high-performing cross-functional team comprising solution SMEs test analysts business analysts infrastructure engineers and other technical specialists.
  • Primary escalation point for the team resolving impediments and working to continuously improve delivery driving for consistent predictable high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead supplier engagement for the delivery team managing and building highly productive supplier relationships.
  • Participate actively in the Delivery Manager community sharing skills knowledge and best practices.
  • Stay current with your understanding of the fast-changing technology market and ensure we are aligned with current best practices.

Position Qualifications:

Preferred Requirements:

  • Youll bring a business-centric mindset with experience considering delivery cost and quality and always seeking to understand the value of our solutions and how your services and products underpin this value.
  • Full software development lifecycle experience (Agile and more traditional approaches)
  • Certified Agile practitioner (e.g. ScrumMaster) highly desirable
  • Experience of working with nearshore and offshore teams an advantage.
